So you have a Zune, tons of music, even every picture you’ve taken to date is available for slide shows for your friends and you’ve still got room for tons more, but maybe because you’ve got absolutely no video content! To be perfectly honest most of us are probably in that boat and Microsoft’s lack of video content on Zune Marketplace isn’t exactly helping. Never fear this column is for you, yeah you!
Recently Apple has made video from YouTube available on both the Apple TV set-top box as well as on it’s flagship iPhone so why shouldn’t you have it on your Zune? Seriously YouTube is perhaps the biggest archive of hilariously funny videos known to mankind and to me it’s one of the cornerstones of american entertainment these days. Take your favorite videos on the go with you using, ZuneIt for Internet Explorer. Not only can you copy videos from YouTube but also MSN SoapBox & Google Video. Simply load your favorite clips in Internet Explorer and click the ZuneIt icon on your toolbar. There’s usually a bit of a wait for content longer then five minutes but before you know it you’ll be laughing in front of all your co-workers uncontrollably and you’ll have your Zune to thank.
You can find the ZuneIt plugin for Windows Internet Explorer, which is still in beta from SourceForge here. Happy video watching!
