Target Will No Longer Carry Zune in StoresNovember 24th, 2009 by Travis Pope |
|
“They we’re pulled before the ZuneHD made it’s debut, so they were’t really selling all that well.” Currently we’ve got no official comment from Target nor Microsoft, but we’ll keep you updated with any statements or press releases they make. It is worth noting some select Zune accessories and the red Zune 120 are still available online at Target’s website. |

Matt Akers Possibly Hints At A Complete Entertainment EcosystemSeptember 4th, 2009 by Travis Pope |
|
With people already touchy about their older Zunes not being manufactured, some cheering up isn’t necessarily a bad thing. With that in mind Matt Akers of the Zune team may have given us the ammo we needed to move on to another story with this tweet: Matt Akers: @jasondunn I disagree… software + services + xbox + zune hd = a sweet ecosystem… Notice he throws XBOX in there as well. Maybe we really are going to see more then just Zune video coming to the big white box? Sadly he doesn’t go into any detail. |

ZuneHD Device Marketplace to have more than just Music?August 16th, 2009 by Travis Pope |
|
Early this morning I went browsing around the official Zune HD webpage and noticed something interesting. Once you’re on the Zune HD go to the demonstration and click wireless. Immediately you’ll see what can’t possibly be anything else other then the Device’s Zune Marketplace, but do you notice anything interesting? No, how about that fact that the word ‘Music’ is undeniably super imposed on the screen at the top, as part of the navigation? Funny thing is in the current version of it doesn’t show that mainly because we’ve only had music in the device marketplace, so I’ve been thinking maybe just, maybe there’s going to be something else available for download from the device as well! Anywho this is nothing but speculation but it does bring up the question of why we haven’t seen pictures of the new device marketplace. It’s possible I could have missed them but maybe, just maybe they’ll be something new for us to download from that menu. What do you guys think? |

With just a week left until Microsoft’s MIX developer conference Microsoft’ employee Michael Kulcher is now talking publicly about what devices and services will be compatible with it’s forthcoming XNA 4.0 software. True, you could read the entire article but we’ll sum up why you might want to read it closely;

The next time you decide to checkout Zune or pick one up, remember to not head to your nearest Target location. According to research we’ve done, including trips to ever Target in our area, and confirmation by two inside sources, Target has decided to not carry the Zune devices, and accessories in any of it’s retail locations. To quote our source:
At midnight ET, I’ll be able to post my first batch of Zune HD content. This will consist of three hands-on photo galleries and part one of what will initially be a four-part review. Later on, I’ll have some screenshot galleries and more of the review of course. Much later (November), there’ll be some Zune/Xbox news. This is all previously announced and whatnot, I’m just mentioning here so you know what to expect.
